I decided to do this at the very last minute. The final battle before 2016.
This is probably my most favorite battle theme in the game, Asgore's following closely second. What can I say, i'm a sucker for emotional battle themes.
and don't worry, i'll finish Death by Glamour... some time >.>
Got in the mood for another smexy DnB remix again. I think i'm starting to get the hang of how DnB tracks work now.
Anyway, the original version of this already possessed a slight bit of DnB in it's percussion, except the song overall was at a 150 BPM tempo, so I decided to speed it up. ^^
Remixed using Synthfont. Drum track created using Audacity.
After binge-listening to different variations of "You Will Know Our Names" for the past couple of days, I suddenly got it in my head what it would sound like if the lyrics to Live & Learn were put over the song. Truth be told... I think it was a badass idea after all.
I spent the majority of my time learning how to manually create a standalone acapella track from a vocal and an instrumental version. However, in the end I still ended up using a certain plugin in order to maximize the phase cancellation... so yeah. ^^
Overall, this was very fun to make! Even if I still couldn't get it to how I wished for it to be, I still learned some things from doing this for the past 4 hours. =p
Idea I had initially as a means for me to practice my drum-n-bass skills.
Ripped the original FM of the tune from a rom of S3&K, using the Gens emulator, then sped it up to a basic DnB tempo and created a drum loop using percussion PCM from Sonic 3. Edited in Audacity.
I'd say it came out okay, minus the slight instances of rhythmic desyncing due to the fact that I manually copypasta'd parts of the drum loop I created together in audacity to create the rest of the percussion for the song. Meh. ~_~
I've actually had this sitting on my hard drive for a few years now, thinking I would never complete it, but lo and behold I boot up the project file one day out of boredom and it turns out it might as well be ready for conversion and submission, so... here you are!
I always thought these two tracks went together amazingly well, so I wanted to do a mashup of the two.
Just a little 40-second demo showing something i'm working on, per a friend's request.
Also intending on making a similar Megalovania cover (in a different style but still YM2612). Just need to get this song out of my head already... x'D
P.S: Who needs real instruments when you have sound like this?
