2. Tony Lionni - Together

Tony Lionni - Together

1 year after his gorgeous "Straight ahead" Ep, Tony Lionni gets back on Goldmin Music with a softer and deeper one "A photograph of you". A very distinctive and insightful ep about the passing of time including plainly heartbreaking house tracks as he did so well up to now. We've been amazed by Tony's music since the beginning as whatever he does, there's always a promise of something unexpected and a high dreaming potential.. That's what it's all about. House music for the 21st century, more conscious and lucid than ever with a hunk of optimism and faith in what the future can bring. This musical tale starts with the unmistakable "Remember back when".. As it's name suggests, it might be an ideal flashback track, bringing back a warm and stained 90's vibe. However, Tony is the master of evoking both the familiar and exploring the unknown, feeding your sense nostalgia while simultaneously inspiring visions of a hopeful future As always, it's a perfect balance between dreamscape and reality as that irresistible groove deserves a very physical reaction, the urge to dance while it slowly brings out your inner-child. "There's no future in the past" continues in a more ear-catching way thanks to his perfect straightforward arpeggio constantly pushing you combined with a round, dry and heavy bass quickly elevating the track to it's cruise altitude. The perfect example of a contemporary different dancefloor tune. "Together" brings your imagination back on track. Probably more abstract and hypnotic nonetheless it's power will be all the stronger. It feels like a wonderful 6 minutes playground experience, high in the sky, a representational, half-conscious musical trip that makes your mind wonder.

7. Tony Lionni - Oasis

Tony Lionni - Oasis

Tony Lionni presents Straight Ahead Ep, his next soulful deep-house stomper on Goldmin Music This guy shouldn't need any introduction for house music fellows as the british born artist has been one of the most creative deep-house producers of the last few years. Tony Lionni, Liverpool born but Manchester bred, enjoyed a prolific and near-faultless debut year as a producer in 2008 thanks to his uplifting take on house/tech house, Detroit techno and all things deep. With a raft of releases on labels such as Ostgut Ton, Figure, Mule, Versatile and Wave, Lionni couldn't have scripted it better himself. This new "Straight Ahead" is a pure splendor 3 tracker deep-house ep. Our man succeeds where many fail, most likely because Tony is a syncere and passioned guy, more focused on the intrinsic quality of his music than his promo-business skills and this kind of devotion and sincerity means a lot to us. With this new record, he's combining that brightful early 90's house feeling with a more contemporary, massive and effective approach, delivering an hammering energy yet keeping the dreamy lushness that makes this kind of stuff so charmful. And the name of this Ep suits well the music since it's exactly what these few cuts get to spread.. It actually goes straight ahead, making the listener focus on the main loop while a lot of things are happening beside, behind, under, subtly but surely, avoiding the monotony which many today's house productions suffer of. That's what real deep house is all about and Tony proves his amazing savoir faire and personality again! How you feeling leads the way! A proper house weapon and very stomping cut that will please the foots as well as the lips that will rather go like this :) than this :( Yes.. that's not a very lyrical description but that says it all! Ain't it? We kept the long sentences for the other tracks! Oasis keeps the same vibe but in an even brighter way, a sublime uplifting track which swings between so-called "nu-disco" and deep-house (in the true sense of the word). The beat starts and you feel like a flashback to the 80's but not that quite common, outdated, boring flashback, No! Actually more of a beautiful trip to the 80's as you're flying over this disco era but you're into a futuristic aircraft, you got it now? Before night falls.. Bang! you've just been kicked out of the club and oh! you landed at Panorama Bar at 10AM. Even the walls are sweating, the atmosphere is tight, epic. The music that escapes out of the speakers is definitely having an effect on your mind, your body, ok let's add "soul".. almost hypnotizing you.. You hear that subtle contrast between that energy, that bass avoiding you to sit and that delightful mix of harmonies, melodies, vocals perfectly arranged that make you feel like right here, right now, there's absolutely no need to care about how to get back home, how to wake up and go to work, how to pay your bills, why the world's so wild..

15. Kurt Baggaley - Fall Into The Sky

Kurt Baggaley - Fall Into The Sky

It’s been a while since we heard about Kurt Baggaley: A very creative producer from Uk. This guy is active since early 00’s and has been self-releasing most of his music. A lifelong dedication that brought hundreds of wonderful tracks under several names. He gained attention under the alias Scape One writing for various electro and techno labels in the early 2000’s. He also writes under guises as Tau Sagitarii, Dr Futurist and Tactical Systems and somehow all his productions are connected, part of the same research yet pretty distinct. That’s why we proposed Kurt to go for a 2 parts Ep as we did for few projects recently. First, as Kurt Baggaley, his real name and the project where the man indulges in magical flights of synth layers paving the way for delicate arpeggios and brilliant unexpected sound intrusions. We meant to make a beautiful artist-defining selection and so pick the 5 tracks that could illustrate best his amazing sound. 2nd part, Scape One - Same guy but this is definitely more hectic and insane. You can hear a wide range of influences as he mentions himself: Afrika Bambaataa, Cybotron, Tangerine Dream, Newcleus, Art Of Noise, Human League, Kraftwerk, Ultravox, Larry Heard. We were completely stuck when we first heard these tracks, "Fall Into The Sky" feels like that astonishing epic break track you have always been looking for and here it is! Part.2 coming soon.

20. A2 - EinKa - Tension

A2 - EinKa - Tension

Goldmin Music label founder Romain Lanteaume alias EinKa meets Detroit minimalism master Terrence Dixon aka Population one for a truly conceptual techno 12".. Terrence Dixon is one of our favorite artists and biggest inspiration.. Detroit-born artist released his first 12" back in 1994 followed by several quintessential records and 2 epic albums "From the far future" on legendary Berlin-based label Tresor. Terrence is not only a great techno producer who makes subwoofers roar in clubs, he is a man obsessed by a concept, an idea that he's following from the very beginning.. "Minimalism" in the reaaaaal sense of the word.. For example, when thousands producers are wondering what's eventually missing in their new track, Terrence is rather wondering what's useless, what could be removed and that's definitely what he gets to share on his own "Reduction" imprint. The idea was to make an abstract record that could still be linked to a feeling or a situation.. A1 The edge track is probably a good example as it's designed and built to make you feel like you get closer and closer to the edge while the track is building until you fall.. Can you feel it? :) As for the other tracks, there is also a special idea behind them but we better let you interpret it your way. A1 & B1 written & produced by Romain Lanteaume & Terrence Dixon A2 written & produced by Romain Lanteaume B2 written & produced by Terrence Dixon P&C 2015 Goldmin Music
