Audio Club - Sumthin' Serious TV Edit

The Audio Club is the joint effort of Ashley Alan-Lee and Brooks Buford. The dynamics of the smoking-hot-pretty-blonde-LA-thing mashed with the borderline dirty (pun intended) southern rapper from Atlanta makes their first single, “Something Serious,” something worth hearing - no matter your taste. Ashley’s definitely the eye-candy factor here, workin’ it out with one lucky stripper pole. It’s the perfect smash of pop, hip hop, electro and 80’s glam to get the dance floor shaking. CHRIS SINGLETON (BalconyTV)

BALCONYTV.COM 21/04/2007 PRESENTED BY PAULINE FREEMAN Chris Singleton comes from Dublin. Influenced by classic acts such as Bowie, The Beatles, The Stone Roses, The Who and Pink Floyd, his music is characterised by great melodies and an engaging production technique which combines traditional rock and pop instruments (guitars, organ, drums, piano) with contemporary sounds - dirty drum samples, crunchy electronica and digital effects. For the past couple of years Chris has been recording an album called "Twisted City". Written on the back of tube tickets, boarding cards and newspapers found abandoned in railway stations, the record is conceived as a tube journey through London. Each song is a stop on the line and deals with a different 'place', whether a London location or an experience. The album's opener, "Worry Number One" - a rocky, "Pink Floyd-on-speed" affair - starts with a driver announcing a departure of a train; from then on the train takes the listener through a very diverse musical landscape. Taking in glam rock ("Get Up"), acoustic ballads ("Pieces") and even a bit of punk (the end of the title track involves a Johnny Rotten impersonator shouting his head off), "Twisted City" is an album clearly made on - and about - a move. The songs are inspired by London (both the good bits and the bad) and the album reflects the excitement of getting to know the city and the struggle to make it there. www.myspace.com/chrissingleton www.chrissingleton.co.uk Tune in again tomorrow!!!

Right here in 2013, The Art are unquestionably Australia's most exciting (and hardest working) export. On the tail of a number of notable Australian tours with the likes of Steel Panther, Marilyn Manson, 30 Seconds to Mars and The Pixies (to name just a few), the kids have embarked on their most ambitious outing yet. A far reaching international outing in support of their debut album 'Here Comes The War'. With a brand new record deal in the can and a comprehensive PR / recording schedule, The Art are as busy as the best of them. They are however returning to home shores for a very special event this April. Sydney's inaugural Stone Fest. They'll be covering the rest of Oz on tour with Buckcherry and Richie Ramone. The Art's eclectic electric blend of classic glam and fist pumping punk rock sneer has cemented their place as one of the worlds most powerfully engaging live acts of 2013. "We see it as a homecoming. As a band we've endured the good, the bad and the unspeakable. Stronger than ever, this homecoming is very meaningful for all of us". With a full swing European festival tour nipping at the heals of Stone Fest you'd be well informed to 'catch them while you can'. http://www.followtheart.com/#!__the-art CREDITS / SPONSORS Cindi Avnet: Producer / Talent Booker Mac Hanson: Cinematographer Recorded & Mixed By: Jeff Bates Assistant Audio Engineer: Anabel Atara Gottschalk: Co-Producer/ Talent Booker Leah Hobbs: Associate Producer Tune in again to BalconyTV //

Fronted by the fierce female singer, Tiger Lilly Marleen, Bonsai Kitten is Berlin's premiere up and coming rock and roll band! This four piece has appeared on countless international festival stages, headlining club tours in Germany and Scandinavia, and as the support act for Dick Dale, The Adicts, The Boss Hoss, and The Bones. Setting the bar even higher with their most recent album release, "Occupy Yourself!" the band's full-throttle live show, riveting vocals, driving bass and dirty-sweet guitar attack conjure up Kiss playing Social Distortion and Misfits songs while dropping acid with Link Wray. It has to be experienced to be believed. Viva Glam Punk! "Occupy Yourself!" is the third full length Bonsai Kitten album (2014) and it is a call for a revolution in your own head. "An explosive album named Occupy Yourself!" (Piranha Magazine), with "speed, catchy chorus and kick-ass effects in every song" (Intro Magazine). "Bonsai Kitten are the next best thing" (Westzeit Magazine) and "surprise with new ideas" (Sonic Seducer). Metal Hammer calls them a "grand live band" and Rockstage Riot says it is „how entertainment should be"! Slam Magazine states "no more words of underground“ about the new Bonsai Kitten sound. With the release of their self titled debut EP in Japan in 2007, Bonsai Kitten put their own style on the global map. In 2011 they released their long awaited full length album "Done With Hell" on the German record label Wolverine Records. That album stired up the international rock´n roll scene and Bonsai Kitten toured extensively throughout Europe and gained a reputation as a great live band. In 2012 Bonsai Kitten released the album "Welcome To My World" on CD and LP in colored white vinyl, which sold out quickly. Bonsai Kitten are working on new material, to be released soon. THE NERVOUS WRECKORDS - LET THEM ALL TALK (BalconyTV)

'Like' us on Facebook - Facebook.com/balconytv Follow us on Twitter - Twitter.com/balconytv THE NERVOUS WRECKORDS - LET THEM ALL TALK PRESENTED BY - XAVIER BRINKMAN Let Them All Talk" is the forthcoming and first national release from California's The Nervous Wreckords (features Brian Karscig of LOUIS XIV).Indie Pop is not a favorite description of the band, but with catchy guitar riffs, sass fueled lyrics, melodic choruses and beats that dance, it's hard to not call it pop music. Recorded on all Neve and 60's and 70's gear and equipment in a home studio by Karscig, it can't be called anything but independent. Flavors of T-Rex, Prince, and even some AC/DC appear in their sound, but with an approach that is uniquely their own.Breakups, jealousy, beauty, and confidence, (with a healthy dose of sexual tension) is all rolled into an album that sounds like a party you should've been at. In the 2 years since their formation, they've toured and played with The Killers, Cee-Lo Green, Brandon Flowers, Florence and the Machine, Death Cab for Cutie, the Naked and Famous, and many more. The 2012-year has started with The Nervous Wreckords finishing their album, touring with Weezer, Yuck, Antlers and Wavves through the Caribbean, and preparing for their own US/Canadian tour late Spring. History After 3 albums, 4 EP's, and 5 years of extensive international touring with LOUIS XIV, Brian Karscig met Anthony Saffery (producer and member of UK band Cornershop) in 2008 in a hotel bar before a Louis XIV gig in Cambridge, MA. A year later, Brian took 5 songs he had been working on that were to be called "The Nervous Record", flew to Cambridge and mixed at the famous Camp St Studios with Anthony."I had no plans for the record really, I just wanted to do something different than what I'd been doing for the last 5 years", says Karscig. That's at least until The KILLERS heard the EP and said, "You have a band for this right? You should open our Day and Age tour it starts in 3 weeks". Not having a band at the time, Karscig answered, "Of course I do", and so it began. A call to Lindsay Matheson (Guitar) and Daniel Schraer (keyboards), 2 weeks of rehearsals, and the band played their first of 15 shows opening for the KILLERS starting at the SOLD OUT Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado. "The Nervous Record", soon became THE NAILBIGHTER EP, and the name of the band became "The Nervous Wreckords".The result: The Nervous Wreckords were born in October 2009 with a collection of high energy songs that infuse danceable beats with rocking glam guitar riffs and catchy melodically infectious songs. The NAILBIGHTER EP featured Karscig on vocals, guitars, and pianos, Saffery on break beats and synths, as well as friends gathered from years of touring (Mark Maigaard /Louis XIV, Ray Suen/The Killers, Mark Stoermer/The Killers, and Steve Smith/Dirty Vegas). In support of the EP, The Nervous Wreckords toured with The Killers and played shows at CMJ 2009 in NYC and SXSW 2010. The Nervous Wreckords released of their first full-length album, VALUMINIUM at the end of 2010. The album was more of a collection of home demos Karscig wanted to release before the band became the force that it has become as a live band, but still gave them a platform to open shows with such acts as Brandon Flowers and CEE LO Green in 2011, and landed songs from the record in commercials for Charlotte Russe and Victoria Secret, Music station placement on Virgin America and Delta Airlines, television show "The Buried Life" on MTV and the movie trailer for "Little Blue Pill". http://thenervouswreckords.com CREDITS / SPONSORS BalconyTV Los Angeles // Brought to you in association with Cindi Avnet: Producer / Talent Booker Lan Nguyen: Cinematographer Recorded & Mixed By: Jeff Bates Assistant Audio Engineer: Anabel Correa Atara Gottschalk: Co-Producer / Talent Booker Leah Hobbs: Associate Producer Tune in again to BalconyTV //

Rob Jo Star Band - 1975 (full album)

Official reissue of one of the weirdest records ever released in France in the early 70s. Stoned psychedelia. Garage punk under the influence of acid. Fantastic sci-fi spaced-out psych with astonishing lysergic fuzz distortions, drenched with crazy electronic noise effects. Though French underground rock in the early 1970s French underground certainly things to offer (mostly headaches and yawns) it was quite unexpected to stumble across a truly good album coming out of that scene. As often with those discoveries, one must thank the bootleg Cosa Nostra for this return from the grave. Beside a few collectors, Rob Jo Star Band managed to stay under the radar all these years. It all started in late 1972, in the Montpellier area in the south of France. Michel-Robert Sahuc aka Mick (bass) and Robert Castello aka Chris (guitar) had been friends since 1970, and after a couple of years in a non-formal band, they decided to move on one step further with new accomplices. In January 1973, they met Alain Poblador aka Penny. He was from Avignon, had been playing electric guitar for 12 years and had spent the 60s in local bands. None ever made a record. With Roger Vidal aka Cedric from Perpignan on drums, the original line-up of the RJSB was soon in place. After doing covers to get their act together, Penny and Mick, with occasional help from Chris, started writing original material in May 1973. Glam rock was happening and Bowie, Lou Reed, and The Velvet Underground were RJSBs muses. "Our musical philosophy was to go back to the roots of psychedelic rock, both soft and trash, simple yet with experimental leanings, finding inspiration in contemporary music, with intellectually-oriented lyrics." They chose to sing in English, but "in a very French way, as we were not trying to hide our French identity." In July 1973, they met Serge Soler aka Bryan, a sound and electronic engineer, who soon joined the quartet along with his "wave generators" (home-made prehistoric synths which were incorporated in a mix board). They now thought of themselves as something like The Velvets meets Pierre Henri, "trying to create some kind of a Messe pour un temps présent for outsiders and junkies." The album came out in 1974 in a limited edition of 1,500 copies. The main influences included: Man Who Sold the World and Ziggy Stardust-era David Bowie, Roxy Music, Brian Eno, The New York Dolls, MC5 and The Stooges, Damo Suzuki, Agitation Free, Amon Düll II, Neu!, Hawkwind, Van Der Graaf Generator, and King Crimson. http://www.fusetronsound.com/label.php?whomart=ROBJOSTARBAND
