Here's an orchestral cover I mad of Trivium's "Capsizing The Sea" from their album In Waves. This is a 100% original arrangement using only the original song as a reference. I do not own the rights to this song. Enjoy!
This is the first blurb to come out of my 20 a Day project. If you'd like to know more about my project, check out this link: http://roosterteeth.com/members/journal/entry.php?id=2957225.
The idea for today was to write a really catchy drum part with a wood block and bass drum, while also working a little bit with the Horn section that I'm normally intimidated to mess around with. I worked with my sound library a little bit to better understand how to write cohesive horn parts using staccato and legato parts, and this is what came of that monkeying around. Enjoy!
Here's an early sneak preview of one of my new tracks, "Stone Sword, Glass Armor". It's an early mix, still a little work to do but I 'm so excited that I couldn't hold onto it any longer! It's a track heavily inspired by Jeff Williams and Monty Oum (RIP). Monty was known for having an incredible drive and passion for everything he did, and after he passed I was inspired to rescore Haloid in honor of Monty. When Monty made Haloid he used the Final Fantasy soundtrack, but it was such a wonderful and influential piece of art that I think it deserves it's own score. All in all, there are about 3 movements I'm writing for it, totaling about 10 minutes. This is the first and is a little metal, a little orchestral (I turn the Metal to 11 on the 3rd movement!) We miss you Monty
This is a little tidbit of a song I'm working on and I'm very proud to show off. Inspired by some of the soundtrack to Deus Ex: Human Revolution by Micheal McCann, I really wanted to capture the cyberpunk magic of Human Revolution. I'm very excited to see where this goes!
It's a very interesting electronic song just very basic for a project I was working on. I do have a much more fleshed out version of this song, however I'm holding onto it for now. Yes, this started as the instrumental track for "Cat Vomit". Maybe in the future it will be released...
Part of larger song I'm working on that I'm absolutely in love with. Meant to be part of an epic Suite. Not entirely finished with the suite but I loved this part so much that I wanted to share it. Enjoy!
