13 Ridiculous TV Monsters We Love

Television creatures arent always to best or the scariest even though they try from silly pterodyl puppet to a weird reptile man. \r\rSubscribe to Crypto Queen \r\r6 - The Mad Beetle Monster\rX-Files is a great supernatural thriller of television legend, but even a great show can have the occasional incredibly stupid moments. Like in the 19thfrom the 5th season called Folie a Deux. Its another parasite type monster which burrows inside and takes control of a human host. Unfortunately, the s antagonistic bug creature was a prosthetic suit worn by a stuntwoman and something about the failing arms and beady red eyes are anything but terrifying, try ridiculous instead. The suit was highly ridiculed behind the scenes by almost everyone on set, and a visual effects editor was brought on board to try and help. But in the end, theand its Kafka-inspired beetle monster both fell flat. \r\r5 - Depressed Teddy \rWhile most Supernatural monsters are usually scary this menacingly sad stuffed bear is anything but. From season four, called Wishful Thinking a young girl wishes down a wishing well located at a Lucky Chin Chinese Food Restaurant, already theis starting to slip. This little girl wishes her beloved teddy was big, real and talked. Her wish is granted, but be careful what you wish for. This toy is depressed and even becomes an alcoholic, drinking his pain away. Theends with the Teddy shooting himself with a shotgun, which makes this just a bit too much to not make our list.\r\r4 - Sleestak or Reptile-Men! \rLand of The Lost ran from 1974 to 1976 with the Sleestak reptile men appearing throughout. These silly alien reptilian lumbering creatures were slow moving, mainly because the big eyeballs were for show and the ors could barely see where they were going in the bulky hot rubber suits. The Sleestaks have met human beings who have become trapped inside the Land of the Lost before and regard humans, especially the Marshalls, as a terrible threat and are always attempting to capture and sacrifice them to their God. Their God is an unseen beast who dwells off camera in a smokey pit. Its so cheesy, its great! \r\r3 - Plasmavore\rIt sounds like the name for a dinosaur but Plasmavores are ually a dangerous yet comical group of alien villains from the firstof the third season of Doctor Who. These vampire-like humanoid creatures have a high salt absorbency, forcing them to drink blood in order to survive. However, the ivity of bloodsucking can become addictive, causing these strange aliens to develop psychoses and take ridiculous risks. My personal favourite treat from these monsters, the image of one of them drinking blood from their victim using a plain plastic straw. \r\r2 - Pudgy Pig\rThere are so many cheesy monsters to choose from in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, but Im a stickler for the classics. Pudgy Pig appeared in the first season of Power Rangers in several s, sometimes he was armed with only his enormous appetite, other times he would do battle with an enormous butter knife and 3-tonged fork, and occasionally he would just blow hot air made up of bad breath. Like PacMan, this strange grotesque eating machine would swallow everything in sight, but his weakness? Spicy food of course. His oversized Roman helmet and super silly giant pig face on top of tiny stumpy hooved legs are enough for Pudgy to make the list, but that pig snort and squeal have cemented in his place as one of the goofiest made for tv monsters ever. \r\r1 - Tybo the Plant Man a.k.a. The Giant Carrot Monster\rThe Giant Vegetable Rebellion was from Season 3,23 of Lost in Space. Its the robots birthday, so Dr. Smith takes out a pod to stop and gather flowers from a nearby planet, but in doing so, he angers Tybo the Plant Man, who looks like a giant carrot in a cheesy rubber prosthetic suit. The dishevelled suit looks ridiculous and even has a carved out circle for the ors painted orange face, it reminds me of a bad clown from a little kids birthday party. Tybo is apparently guardian to this planet where plants are the highest life forms and in retaliation for Smiths killing of the flowers, Tybo begins to transform the Doctor into a stalk of celery with plans of turning all of the Robinsons into trees. Hes so classically dastardly, how could he not top our illustrious list of the dumbest and silliest of TV monsters!
