Australian UFO wave 24 (fake)

FICTIONAL REPORT: Early July 2006. Sydney airport, NSW. None at the time (see below). OTHER DETAILS: There was no witness at the time of this event, but upon reviewing his video tapes, the person who shot this footage saw an object pass behind the jet. This object is very difficult to see, so the footage has been slowed down and zoomed, to make it easier to see. (Thanks to Jim for his expertise in slowing and zooming the footage.) REALITY: Another genuine UFO that I shot by accident. It's probably just a plane in the background, but it looked as impressive as some UFO shots on ther web, so up it went. source : http://www.australianufowave.com/archive.html Retrouvez plus de 300 documentaires ufologiques francophones et anglophones sur UFOmotion ! 300 ufo documentaries on UFOmotion http://ufomotion.xyz/ Groupe UFO FAKES http://www.dailymotion.com/group/53378

Australian UFO wave 28 (fake)

FICTIONAL REPORT: January, 2006. King's Park, WA. Seven witnesses. It's taken a long time for this video to find its way to us - it was filmed some months ago. A large family from overseas all witnessed this event. The witnesses report that there was a high-pitched noise moments after the object vanished. The camera, however, picked up no sound at all (although it began functioning normally a few minutes after the sighting.) REALITY: Again, a test in plausibility. A large disc over Perth should have raised a few eyebrows. source : http://www.australianufowave.com/archive.html Retrouvez plus de 300 documentaires ufologiques francophones et anglophones sur UFOmotion ! 300 ufo documentaries on UFOmotion http://ufomotion.xyz/ vidéo du groupe UFO FAKES http://www.dailymotion.com/group/53378

Australian UFO wave 31 (fake)

FICTIONAL REPORT: 04.08.06, Bullsbrook, WA. Three witnesses. This family saw a light ahead of them but (being familiar with the area) they assumed it was normal aircraft activity, until the light approached and hovered above them, just in front of the car. They then managed to capture this footage. REALITY: At one point, we planned to shoot a naturalistic and realistic scene, but as this was the project's finale, we decided to have some fun and make a mini horror movie. It was good fun, and the actors did an excellent job, but I was very surprised to find that many people still accepted this as real, and wrote to tell us so. No UFO researchers thought it was real, as far as I'm aware. Here are some comments from the web: 'This looks very real to me.' 'sounds like a jet. definiatly a liquid/gas fueled vechcle. you can hear the fuel combust. i think it could be a jet...' 'this was so real...' 'This is real. Nothing could change my mind...' source : http://www.australianufowave.com/archive.html Retrouvez plus de 300 documentaires ufologiques francophones et anglophones sur UFOmotion ! 300 ufo documentaries on UFOmotion http://ufomotion.xyz/ Groupe UFO FAKES : http://www.dailymotion.com/group/53378 http://ufo_logique.site.voila.fr/

Australian UFO wave 20 (fake)

FICTIONAL REPORT: 15.7.06, Near Mundijong, WA, One witness The witness (an amateur pilot) was driving East towards the hills, and saw what he assumed to be unusual military activity in the sky, so he stopped at the side of the road to get some on video. He says the low sun was shining on the camera's LCD screen, making it very difficult to track the object. (Although this looks like it was shot in a rural area, it's actually by a major road not far from Perth, and the witness is certain there must be other witnesses. If so, please let us know.) REALITY: This stealth-bomber-like UFO was another demonstration of how a CG object can be made to fly behind objects - even when they're as jagged as this tree. Interestingly, one FX expert wrote in suggesting that the background was a still photo - which it isn't. But congratualtions to her for spotting the motion blur trails, which are clearly computer genreated. She was the only person to do so. (By coincidence, the day we uploaded this clip, Stealth Bombers arrived in Australia for the first time. A few people wrote to insist that this black shape was some form of unmanned military machine.) source : http://www.australianufowave.com/archive.html Retrouvez plus de 300 documentaires ufologiques francophones et anglophones sur UFOmotion ! 300 ufo documentaries on UFOmotion http://ufomotion.xyz/

Australian UFO wave 7 (fake)

FICTIONAL REPORT: Near Ellenbrook, Perth. One witness. (Two people were in the car, only one saw the object.) This clip was taken on the same day as Sighting #5, a few kilometres away, and just hours later. Sound has been removed from the clip due to copyrighted music that was being played in the car at the time. The clip was shot from the front seat of a car, through the glass window. The witness had seen a bright flash, and assumed there was a problem with the jet. When he zoomed in, he filmed this object. The driver stopped the car and the witness continued filming, but nothing else was seen. REALITY: Compositing anything into a handheld shot, such as this, is very difficult. The solution was to clone part of the image (the jet engine) to an offset location. Ironically, this was the first clip that made a couple of people write to suggest that the UFO might be comptuer genrerated. In fact, it wasn't computer generated at all. It was just a disembodied aeroplane engine. A number of people also suggested this was a model plane, because it wasn't moving. In reality, that hovering effect is created by the aeroplane heading one way, as the car circles around it in another direction. source : http://www.australianufowave.com/archive.html http://ufomotion.xyz/

Australian UFO wave 29 (fake)

FICTIONAL REPORT: 13.07.06. Location Uncertain (see below). Witnesses unknown. The witness who sent this tape did so on condition that he not be interviewed or contacted, or even questioned regarding the footage. For obvious reasons I do not have the original camera tape. Thousands of people have written to point out that there is a date stamp in the bottom right-hand corner: July 13th 2006. Many people have written suggesting possible locations, with the most likely being off the coast of Kwinana in Western Australia, although this is unconfirmed. There is strong speculation from many sources that this was shot with a FLIR Star Safire camera (or something similar), from a helicopter. Investigation is ongoing. REALITY: I had some spare helicopter footage (from a previous project), and thought it would make for an interesting shot. I modelled this on the famous Mexican footage, expecting that the numerous clues that were left in the clip would expose the nature of our project. To my amazement, hits at the site went through the roof, and this proved to be the most popular clip so far. Lots of people identified the location and date, and even the type of infrared camera this was 'shot' with - but nobody noticed that this isn't actually an infrared image (only an inverted one), or that the camera readouts are inaccurate. After a few weeks, some people noticed that the UFO is animated independently of the background. source : http://www.australianufowave.com/archive.html Retrouvez plus de 300 documentaires ufologiques francophones et anglophones sur UFOmotion ! 300 ufo documentaries on UFOmotion http://ufomotion.xyz/ vidéo du groupe UFO FAKES http://www.dailymotion.com/group/53378 http://ufo_logique.site.voila.fr/

Australian UFO wave 12 (fake)

FICTIONAL REPORT: 5th July 2006, Evening, St. Marys, New South Wales. Four witnesses. Two children reportedly saw orange balls of light over the mountains. They eventually convinced their father and elder brother to come outside with the video camera, and this is what they filmed. The two children didn't see the disc, and the adults never saw the orange balls of light! NOTE: the object almost completely vanishes while still in frame. REALITY: This was going to be a much longer shot, but on my trip to New South Wales I lost my tripod, and was forced to shoot handheld. This is the only section of the clip where I was able to animate the CG UFO accurately. source : http://www.australianufowave.com/archive.html Retrouvez plus de 300 documentaires ufologiques francophones et anglophones sur UFOmotion ! 300 ufo documentaries on UFOmotion http://ufomotion.xyz/ vidéo du groupe UFO FAKES http://www.dailymotion.com/group/53378

Australian UFO wave 4 (fake)

FICTIONAL REPORT: Approx 6.6.06, Near Hepburn Springs, Victoria. One witness. Shot by a tourist (from Melbourne), early evening. With the naked eye he saw only one light twinkling near the moon. He estimates that it took him about thirty seconds to get his camera out and working, and then he caught these last few moments as the lights dissipated. He says that it was darker than it looks at the time, but the camera brightened the view, and that the lights themselves look less sparkly on video than they did with the naked eye. (Many people have written in to suggest that this could be an Iridium Satellite - although my basic research suggests that Iridium Streaks last only a couple of seconds, but this witness saw these lights for at least half a minute.) REALITY: The moon was shot from my back garden, with car headlights and streetlights composited in. Numerous experts wrote to assure me that this was an iridium satellite, not a UFO. source : http://www.australianufowave.com/archive.html http://ufo_logique.site.voila.fr/ vidéo du groupe UFO FAKES http://www.dailymotion.com/group/53378 Retrouvez plus de 230 documentaires ufologiques francophones et anglophones sur UFOmotion ! 230 ufo documentaries on UFOmotion site miroir 1 : http://ufo.the-foundation.fr/UFOmotion/ site miroir 2 : http://thman.free.fr/UFOmotion/

Australian UFO wave 10 (fake)

FICTIONAL REPORT:1.7.07, Afternoon. West of the Blue Mountains, New South Wales. One witness. This stunning footage was from a passenger jet, shortly after take-off from Sydney. Estimates suggest it was taken near to the Blue Mountains. She had been filming for several minutes when this object passed the window. The object is difficult to see (especially in the Windows version of the clip) but it is there. In the first part of the clip, it flies from right to left, behind the wing. In the second half of the clip, it rises from the cloud, before flying to the left. The object is tiny at this point, but just about visible. REALITY: The project was becoming a little Perth-centric, so I was obliged to fly East to get some footage of identifiable locations beyond Western Australia. The flight gave me the opportunity to get some good background footage from the plane. Being handheld, I was obliged to make the CG object move very rapidly until it's quite distant, to hide the inaccurate compositing. source : http://www.australianufowave.com/archive.html vidéo du groupe UFO FAKES http://www.dailymotion.com/group/53378 Retrouvez plus de 230 documentaires ufologiques francophones et anglophones sur UFOmotion ! 230 ufo documentaries on UFOmotion http://ufomotion.xyz/

Australian UFO wave 11 (fake)

FICTIONAL REPORT: Pendle Hill, New South Wales.Twelve witnesses. Shot in the early evening from a back garden. Other witnesses were gathered in the street at the front of the house. Although the video shows lights only, some witnesses claim they could see a solid object. This was disputed by others. (NOTE: this is second-hand information from our witness.) Also note that when the lights appear to turn into diamond-shapes, this is an artefact of the video-camera going out-of focus. REALITY: When a video camera goes out-of-focus while pointed at a light, it often betrays iris artefacts such as diamonds. This effect can be simulated, and lends much more realism to a shot than a simple blur, although it takes a lot of computer power to render. Many observers claimed this one was 'impossible to fake'. The lights are streetlights, pasted in and animated. source : http://www.australianufowave.com/archive.html http://ufomotion.xyz/

FICTIONAL REPORT: 15th July 2006, afternoon. Fremantle, WA. One witness. On her way home from a wedding, this witness stopped her car to film this object which appeared to be over the town of Fremantle. REALITY: Many genuine UFO clips have intense camera-shake, so motion-tracking of real camera shake was applied to this static shot, with motion blur completing the effect. The UFO is just a blob of CG paint. source : http://www.australianufowave.com/archive.html http://ufo_logique.site.voila.fr/ vidéo du groupe UFO FAKES http://www.dailymotion.com/group/53378 Retrouvez plus de 300 documentaires ufologiques francophones et anglophones sur UFOmotion ! 300 ufo documentaries on UFOmotion http://ufomotion.xyz/

Australian UFO wave 3 (fake)

FICTIONAL REPORT: 22nd May 2006. Mt Lawley, Perth. Three witnesses. Filmed by the man who runs this website (and the inspiration that got me into all this). Very early morning, looking East, a diamond shaped light moved backwards and forwards across the sky for six minutes (plus the two minutes it took for me to get the camera out.) Half an hour earlier I'd seen another very bright light in this area (but without my glasses on.) REALITY: This is a genuine UFO, shot from my kitchen window. The light moved steadily across the sky, and looked a little like a very-high aeroplane contrail. At times it appears to move backwards, but this may be an artefact of the camera's built-in stabiliser. Half an hour earlier, I really had seen another very bright light, but without my glasses on... source : http://www.australianufowave.com/archive.html http://ufomotion.xyz/

FICTIONAL REPORT: March 2006, Marmion, Perth. One witness. Shot on a Mini-DV camera, on a weekend night in March 2006, in a coastal Perth suburb, looking West over the ocean. Three lights were seen moving erratically for several minutes. Only the last few seconds were caught on tape. REALITY: Shot from my front garden, these lights consist of one aeroplane that just happened to be there, and car headlights composited into the footage (for that extra bit of twinkle). source : http://www.australianufowave.com/archive.html http://ufomotion.xyz/

Australian UFO wave 17 (fake)

FICTIONAL REPORT: 13th July 2006, morning. Galston, NSW One witness. These lights appear to 'shed' a series of smaller lights. Although barely visible, these smaller lights drop to the left and fade away just before the main lights flicker out. This event is noteworthy because the witness was disturbed by a sound, "like something exploding", and went outside with the video camera to see if a plane had crashed. REALITY: Another 'space junk' type UFO, to stop people thinking about a 'total hoax' explanation. Once again, many experts sent in evidence proving that this was space junk. source : http://www.australianufowave.com/archive.html Retrouvez plus de 300 documentaires ufologiques francophones et anglophones sur UFOmotion ! 300 ufo documentaries on UFOmotion http://ufomotion.xyz/ vidéo du groupe UFO FAKES http://www.dailymotion.com/group/53378

Australian UFO wave 22 (fake)

FICTIONAL REPORT: Estimated to be 16.7.07. Castlemaine, VIC. Three witnesses. The witness who shot this footage only saw one object with the naked eye. Although he assumed it to be a balloon, he started filming, just in case. The other objects came into frame once he'd started filming and were also seen briefly by two other witnesses who were present. NOTE: These objects are not simply drifting or falling, as there are subtle changes in direction and speed. REALITY: The spheres and triangles were proving popular, so we created a combination of the two. Some skeptics wrote to assure us that these were weather balloons. source : http://www.australianufowave.com/archive.html Retrouvez plus de 300 documentaires ufologiques francophones et anglophones sur UFOmotion ! 300 ufo documentaries on UFOmotion http://ufomotion.xyz/

FICTIONAL REPORT: 16.7.06. Innaloo, WA. Several witnesses. The witness who recorded this says that several people watched these lights, with limited interest, and he was the only person still watching (that he's aware of) when the beam of light emerged. REALITY: We hired an actor to do the voicing of this clip, and thought a shocked response was appropriate. The lights are, once again, streetlights, composited into the sky. The beam of light is easily created with software. source : http://www.australianufowave.com/archive.html Retrouvez plus de 300 documentaires ufologiques francophones et anglophones sur UFOmotion ! 300 ufo documentaries on UFOmotion http://ufomotion.xyz/ vidéo du groupe UFO FAKES http://www.dailymotion.com/group/53378

Australian UFO wave 26 (fake)

FICTIONAL REPORT: 11.07.06. Maroubra, NSW. One witness. The very bright light in this clip is NOT a UFO. It's the moon, and this is just the way the moon looks when shot with this video camera at night. The UFO is the small light which appears at the same point in the frame as the moon. The witness had seen a bright light over his house, and we have five minutes of footage where the witness searches for the object unsuccessfully. Finally, the object is seen moving rapidly across the screen. REALITY: This was an attempt to create a clip in less than ten minutes, to see if it would still be believed. It's often assumed that faking UFO footage takes enormous resources. We shot, edited and completed this in eight minutes. It's not very good, but many people still raved about it to us. source : http://www.australianufowave.com/archive.html Retrouvez plus de 300 documentaires ufologiques francophones et anglophones sur UFOmotion ! 300 ufo documentaries on UFOmotion http://ufomotion.xyz/ vidéo du groupe UFO FAKES http://www.dailymotion.com/group/53378

FICTIONAL REPORT:Approx 25.06.06, Evening. Perth coast. Two witnesses. The witnesses had observed a bright light over the ocean for several minutes as they talked, but guessed it was a star, as it barely moved. Only when they looked back and saw that it had moved in front of a cloud did one go to grab the video camera. REALITY: Shot from the same location as the previous clip, but with a better camera. Again, we were trying to tone things down a little, and keep it simple. The camera shake is meant to reflect the camera shake of a long lens, but this technique was improved gradually over the next few weeks. source : http://www.australianufowave.com/archive.html http://ufomotion.xyz/

Australian UFO wave 5 (fake)

FICTIONAL REPORT: 10.6.06, afternoon. Whiteman Park, Western Australia. Four witnesses. A family of four watched this object for several minutes, from a lookout point in Whiteman Park. It "moved about like a plastic bag", while the family argued about what it was. The whole family went back to the car, apparently unimpressed, but the mother came back with the camera, and as soon as she started filming the object moved away. (I've interview this witness over the phone, and find her to be extremely credible.) Sighting#7 occurred nearby, just hours later. REALITY: A computer generated sphere is composited into a tripod-shot, with camera shake and zoom added. Optical distortion used to simulate the distortion caused by zooming source : http://www.australianufowave.com/archive.html http://ufo_logique.site.voila.fr/
