This song takes place towards the end of "Wanda's World", a musical that was produced Off-Broadway for a limited run. (wandaonbroadway.com)
Wanda has a large birthmark on her face and has been bullied relentlessly. This is her "eleven o'clock number" power ballad... under terrible duress, will she or won't she choose to go back and face her tormentors?
This version is the duet from the show which includes her teacher Mr. Lemmings. There are solo versions also available.
If you would like to buy the sheet music (3.95) just shoot me an email - [email protected] and I'll send it to you. Transpositions are available.
This EP was gestated last month during the course of a few doomed flights home and back.
Some of these songs have existed for years. Some of them grew up as ideas right there on the planes-- over coffee stains and graph paper farms.
Thanks to Amy and to my family.
These are tunes taken from my gig at the InDIGenous Jazz series in Madison, WI on April 6th, 2018.

Seduced by the music of The Grinning Man, we are absolutely delighted that some well-known and loved faces from the stage and screen took to the studio to record their own versions of songs from our highly acclaimed new musical. Check out these wonderful tributes to our show, and of course join us at Trafalgar Studios in London to see and hear The Grinning Man live for yourself! thegrinningmanmusical.com/

Lyrically absurd and sometimes quite disturbing mixed with some half decent tunes and some kick ass riffs put together by people old enough and wise enough to know better.
It's not for everyone but how often do you get a chance to hear a track called "She's got a face like a slapped twat!"
